Spring updates: Night School and more

It has been some time since we sent out a seasonal update, so with some persistence this one will restart the trend. This time we have bad news, good news, and general press news.

The bad: The Night School boxed will now be with us in mid-May, not April as originally stated. The books have been printed; what we are waiting for is the completion of the slipcases. Once the books arrive with us, they will have to be numbered before shipping. We therefore hope to start filling orders during the last week of May. There are still a very few copies remaining of this set, so if you are interested, we suggest you purchase one sooner rather than later. Read about this very special edition here: the Night School series.

The good: Those of you who follow us on Facebook will already have seen this news – we are thrilled to welcome David Rankine to the Hadean team as our new editor-in-chief. David has many years of experience not only as an author but also as an editor and publisher. We feel very fortunate to have him join us in his new role.

In other news, behind the scenes here at Hadean Press we are changing both our paperback printer and our methods of distribution as we make our way toward a more traditional publishing model. These changes will be implemented very slowly, but what we can expect to see over the coming months is some titles going out of print permanently, some temporarily vanishing from Amazon and other online sellers, some cover changes, and other minor changes as time unfolds. For now, we have updated the ‘Our Editions’ section on the About page to reflect the immediate changes in our book production. As usual, we will keep everyone updated as the full suite of changes is implemented.

Over the past year and a half, Hadean Press has lived through some ‘interesting times’. We remain grateful to those of you who continue to support us as customers, readers, authors, and booksellers, and we look forward to many more years ahead as we enter our brave new world.
