Today marks the feast day of St. Cyprian and St. Justina, bringing to a close what are referred to as the Days of St. Cyprian, during which we pay homage to the sorcerer saint and the virgin who deflected his magic with her faith. Here at Hadean Press our Days have been spent serving the saints in the way we know best, by planning new releases in their name. We feel it is a great privilege that so much Cyprian-related work comes our way, and hope you will be as excited by these offerings as we are. Without further ado, the following titles are forthcoming from Hadean Press, spanning the end of 2021 and into 2022.

Two Guides to the Underworld for release in 2021:

The Torture and Death of St. Cyprian and St. Justina: A late-Medieval Latin account, together with a narration of the theft of the body of St. Justina by the Antipope John XVI, and his entrusting it to the Cathedral at Piacenza. Both texts, which stem from earlier manuscripts, were reproduced in the Acta Sanctorum Septembris (Tomus VII) and translated into English by Fr. Robert Nixon, OSB.

The Art of Cyprian's Mirror of the Four Kings: An Early Modern Grimoire of Cyprianic Conjuration by Dr. Alexander Cummins, including a reprint of The Art of Cyprian's Mirror of the Four Kings, taken from 'Constructing a Magic Mirror According to the Art of Cyprian' by Adam McLean, first published in the Hermetic Journal 11 and reprinted here with kind permission. Release date 2 November 2021.

Two books for release in 2022:

Clearing the Waters: A Monograph on Saint Cyprian Divination From the 17th to the 19th Century by José Leitão is an exploration of the divinatory systems within The Book of St. Cyprian including cartomancy, coscinomancy, hydromancy, and more.

The Supreme Black, Red and Infernal Magic of the Chaldeans and Egyptians by Jonas Sufurino, originally translated, compiled and commented by Doctor Moorne in 1916, and translated from the Spanish for Hadean Press by Steve Savedow.

This is of course not everything we’ll be publishing throughout the next fifteen months so keep an eye on our emails, website, and other socials for schedule updates and news.

Thank you for your continued support for all that we do.
