End of year update
It is that time of year again, and what a year it has been! We have some important updates to guide us into the year ahead, so please do take the time to read. If you prefer to scroll through quickly, check the items in bold.
Hadean Press will be closed from 21 December through 8 January. Erzebet needs a long break this year so she can fully recharge before diving into what next year will bring.
Our final release of 2022 will open for pre-orders on 20 December. Sefer Yesira: Book of Creativity, being a new translation by Avi Solomon of Sefer Yesira, one of the two pillars of Abulafia’s system, will be offered as a hardcover only, limited to 231 copies. Our final shipping day of 2022 will also be 20 December. Shipping will resume on 10 January.
The 2023 schedule will be posted on the website on 21 December. We must slow things down a bit next year as Erzebet will be heavily involved with university studies, but we promise there are some excellent titles forthcoming. We will also continue the work of rebranding the Guides to the Underworld series – we are nearly there, with only a few titles remaining to change to the blue covers. Sadly, some Guides will be taken out of print next year, most notably the two by ConjureMan Ali (Saint Cyprian: Saint of Necromancers and Santisima Muerte) as we have lost touch with him. When the final copies have been sold, they will be leaving the website and Kindle. This truly marks the end of an era.
As is typical for our holidays, Erzebet will be working quietly in the background, building a new website which will serve all of our customers. This is going to be both a blessing, and supremely annoying as customer accounts most likely will be lost. The new site may or may not be available in January. We will post an update before we make any drastic changes.
Now for the bad news: as of 1 January 2023, we will no longer offer free shipping on orders over £100.00 or reduced overseas shipping on orders under 100g. In addition, our wholesaler terms will change, and stockists will be required to pay full shipping costs. We have done our best to support our customers and those who are kind enough to resell our books through some perilous years by offering these discounts, but now it is time to support Hadean Press. We know this is disappointing; to make up for this change, we will have another sale at some point in 2023.
We would like to thank everyone who purchased our books in 2022, whether from the website directly, from our stockists, or from other online sellers. Your enthusiasm for what we do is what keeps us going and we deeply appreciate our customers, authors, friends, and extended Hadean family. We wish everyone a healthy, warm, and safe holiday season.
