Spring Update

Spring of 2018 marks our tenth anniversary. At first, Hadean Press was no more than an idea. A name. Then we met the firecracker Jake Stratton-Kent who gave us our first material, The Equinox: British Journal of Thelema. Ten years later we have produced thirty-four pamphlets, twenty books in various editions including one out of print, seven journal issues across three titles, and five limited editions under the imprint. To the authors and customers and readers who keep us going, we salute you and thank you! 

On my end that means for ten years I have faithfully sent books and pamphlets around the world to our expanding readership, while managing an ever-growing business, and somewhere in there finding time to actually make the books and journals and pamphlets which are the heart of this whole operation. I have enjoyed almost every minute of it, but I’m not getting any younger and the minutes are ticking away. 

What I would like to do in the next ten years is spend more time making books, and less time shipping them. 

To that end, we will sell only our Guides to the Underworld, our ebooks, and our limited editions from this website. Our books and journals in print can be bought elsewhere, and I’ve provided plenty of links on Our Books page to help you find our titles. Send me an email if you have trouble locating something and I’ll be glad to help if I can.

I know some of you strive to support small independent presses by buying directly from them, and that is appreciated. Please know that I will be just as appreciative when you buy our books from one of our trusted sellers, the Book Depository, or even that scoundrel Amazon. It is up to you now to make sure they keep us in stock by purchasing our books from them, especially from our trusted sellers, listed on our Booksellers page. 

You’ll also notice a new Studio Sale page on which I have listed some of our remaining stock at a reduced price, some damaged books, and some books from other imprints. This is an attempt to clean out my studio so I have more space to make more books. 

In the end, it is always about the books.
